HK P2000SK 9MM V3 DA/SA LE 709303LE-A5
hk p2000sk v3, Like the slightly larger P2000 model, the P2000 SK (subcompact) combines elements of the successful HK USP Compact pistol with recent technological innovations from HK engineers — only in a smaller, more concealable design.
HK P2000SK V3 9MM
Features a double-action/single-action variant with a decock button mounted on the rear of the frame. A choice of two simple-to-install grip panels make it easy to custom-fit the P2000 Subcompact to any shooter’s hand. And the same ambidextrous magazine release and dual slide release levers found on the P2000 make handling the Subcompact easy for both right- and left-handed shooters.
Using such an enhanced trigger system consolidates ease of use and safety into a convenient, innovative trigger operation — one that prevents unintended firing. And in case of an ammunition-related failure to fire, all that is needed is an additional second or third pull of the trigger without the need of first pulling the slide back to re-cock the Subcompact.

Lazarus, my P2000sk is the V3. It has the decocking tab at the back & I like (and prefer, just a preference) the DA/SA trigger pull. I’m old and just feel more comfortable with it, DA at about 11# & SA at about 4.5#. To my knowledge, the sk’s don’t have external safeties, just the decocker which acts as a trigger block when the hammer is down and the pistol has been decocked (if it hasn’t been decocked or had the hammer brought back to rest, the hammer can strike the firing pin, so be careful!). I paid $700 for mine, used, with 3 magazines & night sights, but a new one from the factory will run you closer to $900 w/o the night sights. I would also agree that this is an excellent carry pistol for daily use, I don’t have large hands and I prefer the magazine with the small “shelf” at the bottom. Mine has taken the place of the P30LS, but I’m getting a laser for the P30 and home use. All of life is compromise, but some are better than others…

Love and enjoy my “sk”, but I’m curious about the XDs .45, which is almost similar in specs to the “sk”.
Trying to reason with myself, that my “sk” can do everything that the XDs can do. Something about HK reliability, plus it holds more ammo than the XDs has me coming back to to the “sk”.
Wish HK made a similar size and style pistol…doesn’t hurt to dream
