Description
45 colt
Designed by Major George Schofield to be with one hand while on horseback, a break-open pistol was ideal for mounted soldiers in the U.S. Cavalry. Shooters could easily eject all six spent cartridges and reload while on horseback. The top break pistol also proved useful to the likes of Jesse James and Wild Bill Hickok. The Schofield features a blue frame, barrel, and backstrap; and a case-hardened trigger guard. The Schofield Russian was a favorite side arm of the Russian government. Modeled after the Smith & Wesson Schofield, this revolver features a blue frame, barrel, and hump-backed backstrap; walnut grips; lanyard ring; and a case-hardened trigger guard with trigger spur.
Newly released the “R” Model pays tribute to the “Duke” himself and the timeless classic, Rooster Cogburn. With an “Old West” finish, a 4.75″ barrel and available in .45LC. Even the most discriminating “Duke” fan will recognize and truly appreciate this highly anticipated pistol.
